...And, of course, Advocacy!
A FREE annual advocacy experience for those who assist students in the college admission process at the postsecondary and secondary levels. We welcome students at both levels. Visit the Hill provides engaging and knowledgeable speakers to guide us through the timely issues that educators and students care about--it is an excellent learning opportunity in how government works. Understand how you can have a voice in enacting change in the world of education. The more we educate ourselves on these topics, the more effective we can be.
Lunch is provided and, after lunch, we’ll head over to the Iowa State Capitol to put our knowledge into action by speaking with legislators on the issues we are passionate about. We welcome admissions professionals, school counselors & their students, and allies to attend this formative event. Travel Scholarships are available to aid educators in covering the expense of bringing students to Visit the Hill.
