The Iowa ACAC Opportunity Grant is designed to support members who face financial barriers to participating in professional development opportunities provided by Iowa ACAC or the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). This grant is a reinvestment in our members. We value our members and their involvement in Iowa ACAC, and we don’t want cost to be the reason someone can’t take part in the opportunities we offer or be engaged with our association.

The Opportunity Grant is open to any and all members of Iowa ACAC. Funds can help cover expenses related to attending Iowa ACAC-sponsored events such as Admission Counselor University (ACU), the Spring Conference, Visit the Hill, and other professional development opportunities offered by Iowa ACAC or NACAC. Eligible expenses may include:

• Registration
• Lodging
• Travel
• Meals
• Local Transportation

Grant recipients will give back to Iowa ACAC by:

• Submitting a 500-word blog post OR creating a short reflection video about their experience.
• Committing to serving on an Iowa ACAC committee for at least one year.

We know professional development opportunities within our association can be impactful, and we don’t want financial constraints to limit your professional development or engagement. We want you learning and growing at our events!
