My name is Marissa Wetrich, and I’m your Iowa ACAC College Day/Night Chair! I also serve as one of the Assistant Directors of Admission at  my alma mater, the University of Iowa. I still hit the road and attend many Iowa ACAC College Fairs. 

To ensure we are able to host all 30+ college fairs, I rely heavily on my committee’s input. The Iowa ACAC College Day/Night Committee currently has seven representatives from public and private colleges as well as one College Counselor. These members include Nick Kettmann (Kirkwood), Tina Miranda (Grand View University), Katie Guinane (Coe College), Colleen Koppes (Dowling Catholic), Conner Ellinghuysen (Buena Vista University), Mackenzie Worthy (Iowa State University), and Marc Genzler (Simpson College).

Our committee’s biggest task is setting the schedule of Iowa ACAC sanctioned fairs across the state. Our committee reviews all of the submissions for Iowa ACAC college fairs each spring to create our year-long college fair calendar. We work to provide greater college access to students all across Iowa while creating a synchronized travel schedule for college reps. In addition to creating the college fair calendar, our committee works with site hosts to improve events from year to year, partners with StriveScan, and enforces Iowa ACAC’s Standards of Conduct.
